Left out were KLM, Insel Air (Fokker 50), Divi Divi Air, EZ Air
(BN2) and Learjets N389KA and N824CC which are based here,
unless operating on a non-scheduled flight.
It’s getting pretty quiet at Bonaire. Insel Air is just operating
with three left-over Fokker 50s after the financial restruc-
turing. The Piper on the 6th is not often seen, the identity
is unknown. The Brasilian guest on the 12th was nice but
it visited in the middle of the night for fuel from Sao Paulo
to Houston. The 13th turned out to be oké, with a Mexican
Hawker arriving from Caracas (Venezuela) and returning to
the same place some days later. When you see a big American
bizzjet landing, it is usually followed by a smaller Venezuelan
one, which was the case on the 15th. Due to tax issues, the
owners usually continue to Venezuela with an YV-registered
plane. On the 19th the Brasilian Legacy returned, but the
timing was not much better. On the 25th a Surinamese heli-
copter visited, coming from Barcelona, Venezuela and con-
tinuing to Maracaibo, Venezuela after just over an hour on
the ground, very unusual.

The Yak-11 was designed as a training aircraft. Production started in 1947 with some licence-built by Let in Czechoslovakia as the C-11. G-YCII
