During the descent into Normanton (Qld.), the Dasap Beech
Baron’s right hand engine failed due to fuel starvation. The
pilot cross-fed fuel from the left tank, in order to restart
the engine. About thirty seconds later both engines failed,
forcing the pilot to make a forced landing into a paddock. The
aircraft was substantially damaged on impact however there
were no injuries reported.

The private Japanese Piper Malibu suffered a nose gear col-
lapse upon landing at runway 01 of Fukushima Airport, with
the Piper getting stuck on the runway at around the intersec-
tion with the T-4 taxiway. The nose contacted the runway
surface, and the propeller blades were bent aft. No injuries
were reported among the two occupants.

During an aerial application flight the White Rabbit Aviation
Bell had to make a forced landing in a mountainous forest,
some twelve miles from Lake Wenatchee State Airport (WA),
during which it sustained substantial damage. The pilot and
sole person onboard was not injured.

The Kharkiv Aeroklub Antonov 2R impacted terrain follow-
ing a loss of engine power during a crop-spraying flight in
the Kiliya District, Ukraine. One of the two pilots sustained
minor injuries.

Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters, using this American Hel-
icopters registered EC130, had to pick up its pilot and his four
passengers, after the chopper struck power lines and had to
make a forced landing near the Hoover Dam (AZ), during
which it sustained substantial damage.

A Cessna 310R of Twin Props crashed onto Freeway 405,
north-west of John Wayne-Orange County Airport (CA),
shortly after take-off. The aircraft was partially consumed
by the ensuing fire and the two occupants onboard were

Uniontown (KY) was the scene of a mishap involving this Bell
of Kash Helicopter Service, when it struck a wire and crashed.
The pilot and sole occupant was not injured.

A MiG-29 of the Belarus Air Force was accelerating for take-off
from an unknown base in Belarus, when the gear retracked
too soon and it slid on its belly, trailed by a big fire, until it
came to a stop beyond the runway. In the meantime the pilot
ejected and made a safe landing, albeit receiving some minor
injuries.

A Cessna Golden Eagle of Sky King Flying Service was
destroyed when it impacted wooded terrain near the inter-
section of WI-111 and US-8, east of Catawba (WI), Wiscon-
sin. The Sheriff’s Department was notified by the Air Marine
Operations Center that their radar indicated a small aircraft
made a rapid descent and subsequently disappeared from
radar. All six occupants did not survive the impact.
