Paris must have been the most favourite city for the USAF
in 2017 as they also participated with multiple jet aircraft
during the celebrations of the Bastille Day Military Parade
on 14 July 2017. President Trump of the United States had
been personally invited by France’s President Macron to join
the celebrations because this year it was hundred years ago
since the United States was helping France by actively being
involved into World War One. Nowadays the United States
and France are working close together in the Global War
Against Terrorism. During this year’s Parade, the Thunder-
birds with six F-16C Fighting Falcons and two F-22A Raptors
had prominent places between the formations of the French
military aircraft over Paris. The Thunderbirds and Raptors
also participated in this year’s RIAT at RAF Fairford.
One of the largest F-16 Fighting Falcon squadrons in the USAF
inventory, Spangdahlem’s Warhawks, touched down at RAF
Lakenheath at the beginning of July 2017. The F-16s from the
480th FS/52nd FW had to vacate Spangdahlem Air Base in
Germany allowing to get some necessary construction-work
to be done at the base. Of the, normally 28 F-16s assigned
to the 480th FS, 18 aircraft flew in three waves on 10 July
towards Lakenheath. An official USAF stated that Airmen
from the 480th FS would train alongside Lakenheath’s resi-
dent 48th FW Airmen and British Allies and that the flying
training deployment was scheduled to last several weeks.
The following SP coded F-16Cs were involved:

A dozen 23rd Wing A-10C Thunderbolt-II aircraft from Moody
AFB (GA) arrived in the afternoon of 13 July 2017 at RAF
Mildenhall in Great Britain. The Flying Tigers were transiting
to replace the twelve 354thFS A-10s from Davis Monthan AFB
(AZ) that arrived in January at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey. The
following FT coded A-10Cs from mainly the 74th FS were seen
at Mildenhall to become part of the 447th Air Expeditionary
Group in support of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR):

On 18 July 2017, the above-mentioned Davis Monthan A-10Cs
were seen transiting Lajes on the Azores on their way back to
the Continental United States (CONUS). The following twelve
