Thisin^ Lancaster,^ California.^ Airfield^ year^ was^ very^ special
because^ it^ commemorated the^ 75th^ Anniversary^
isLockheed^ Skunks^ Works^ which^ of^ based^ out^ of^ the^ Mojavedesert^ area.^ Headlining^ the show^ was^ the^ U.S.^
DemoForce^ F‐^22 Raptor^ Air^ Team^ and^ many^ other^ interestingaircraft.^
opened^ at^ 9:00^ amwereboth^ days^ and^ attendees^ Gatesablemany^ to^ visit^ the^ unusual^ static^ aircraft^ that^
seenoffered^ which^ aren’t^ were^ anywhere^ else^ in^ the
world^ today.^ There^ were also^ various^ STEM^ tents^
Boeing,Lockheed^ Martin,^ from^ and^ Northrop^ Grumman
thatages^ people^ of^ all^ could^ enjoy.^ The^ weather^
days^ was^ very^ coldbothand^ breezy^ but^ fortunately^ did
not^ have^ any^ effect on^ the^ flying^ activities.^

15 of^ Fagot^ of^ Planes^ ‐^ Fame^ performing^ a^ dogfight^

by^ Gregory^ “Wired”^ Colyer, and^ a^ rare^ DeHavil‐

Thethe^ warbird^ portion^ of^ show^ offered^ plenty^ of^
andpasses^ from^ the^ aircraft^ photo^ lots^ of^ pyro.^ The^ aircraft
flying‐^ included^ the^ P 51 Mustang,^ F8F^ Bearcat,^
‐Spitfire,^ and^ BSupermarine^17 Flying^ Fortress^ “Sentimental
Journey”Commemorative^ of^ the^ Air^ Force,^ the^
MitchellCorsair^ and^ B‐^25 F4U^ of^ Planes^ of^ Fame,^ and
the^38 newly^ restored^ P‐ Lightning^ from^ the^ Collings^
Foundation.^ Representing^ the^ U.S.^ Marine^ Corps^ in^ the^ show^ was^
22 MV‐^22 Osprey.^ The^ MV‐the^ is^ a^ tilt‐rotor^ aircraft^
can^ perform^ both^ thethatcapabilities^ of^ an^ aircraft^ and
helicopter.demonstration,^ In^ the^ the^ crew^ show‐
the^ many^ capabilities^ ofcasedthe^ MV‐^22 including^ flat
passesmanoeuvres.^ and^ hovering^ Perhaps^ the^ rar‐
waspart^ of^ the^ show^ est^ flybys^ from^2 different^ versions
of^ the^ Lockheed^ U‐^2 Spy^ Plane^ on^ Saturday.^ The^
Uaircraft^ to^ fly^ was^ a^ first‐2S^ known^ as^ the^ “Dragon^ Lady”
which^ flew^ out^ of^ Beale AFB.^ The^ second^ was^ a^
ResearchER‐^2 High^ Altitude^ NASA^ Aircraft.^ This^ was^ a^
part^ of^ the^ SkunkmajorWorks^ 75th^ anniversary^ cele‐
because^ the^ U‐^2 brationis^ a^ major^ accomplishment^ from
the^ Lockheed^ corporation.^
