Seven of the nine DHC-3 Otters bought
in 1957 returned to Canada in 1989.
UB653 is the sole survivor in Myanmar
as the remaining aircraft was
apparently written of.

The Seaires were replaced by 21 Sea Furies in 1957. The type was the irst to see air combat when an
unmarked Chinese Nationalist Air Force Consolidated PB4Y Privateer was shot down. The battle, in which
a Sea Fury was also lost, is commemorated by a painting in the main museum. UB471 is a FB.11.

Of the twenty Seaires acquired in 1953, like F.XV UB409 seen here, the fate of all but three is
unknown. One, UB414, was sold in the USA in 1999 and another still exists at Meiktila airbase.
