PJ's of the time would have most certainly used a Survival
Incorporated Snap track Survival vest as their primary load
bearing systems, but again because of the price implication we
issued the relatively inexpensive Eagle Industries Air Rescue
Vest, that was actually made for PJ's.
The Vest itself is simply a low profile LBV (load bearing vest)
with 4 double magazine pouches and an integrated back and
butt pack which was built around a harness - seen back then
as the start of the art of high speed low drag combinations
became a firm favourite within the PJ community. The LBV is
simple and uncluttered by today's standards and will provide
you with all of the ammo carrying requirements you'll need for a
Skirmishing scenario. The adjustability and flexibility of the vest
means that sizing isn't an issue and because of the yoke all of the
weight is spread across your shoulders.
Your belt order (and you're definitely going to need one) is
attached to the LBV by a number of loop fixing point and is no more
complicated than an ALICE (all-purpose Lightweight Individual
Carrying Equipment) belt to which you can attach a number of ALICE
