TAN TEAM COMMANDER
I set off to Ai500: Operation
Nuketown as the new Tan team
commander which was to be the start
of a very new Tan team. At first the
task at hand was a little daunting
and nerves were beginning to kick in
as I approached the site in where we
would do battle with our rivals for the
next two days. Shortly after arrival,
We unpacked our kit and began to
mingle and get to know our fellow
comrades for the weekend. It was
great to see some old friends and
meet new people from both teams.
Saturday morning quickly came
around and ‘game on’ was called at
approximately 10.30am. This was
the start of a fierce battle which
meant the new Tan team had to play
hard and take to this game with an
aggressive and fair approach. We
quickly began to dominate the site by
attacking in mass numbers, and this
didn’t change for the majority of the
weekend.
At times the Greens showed what
tough competitors they truly are and
demonstrated signs of great spirit
and admirable sportsmanship that
would make any airsofter proud to be
part of this great hobby. Ultimately
though we finished the weekend as
the victors and ended a consecutive
run of defeats for the Tan team.
My first appearance as the Tan
team commander and also my
first Tan win since attending an
Ai500 event! I could not have
done it without the hard work and
determination from my team. Every
one of my warriors put in 100%
effort in all weekend and I could not
be prouder. Now it’s time to focus on
the next instalment and try to create
a roll of wins for the Tan Team.
Thank you also to the Greens who
stayed on the Sunday afternoon and
to Tim for being such a great sport
all weekend and showing us why he
is such a great leader. You guys were
a true credit to the Green team. Also
huge thanks to the guys who went
over from the Tan side to the Green
side to even up the numbers. This
made me even more proud to lead
you guys. Finally a huge Thanks to
Paul, Richie and all the staff who
organised this great event. The site
itself was brilliant and the objectives
and games were spot on. You really
