T
he Republic of Singapore Air
Force Museum provides a
window on the past with a diverse
range of aircraft types on display.
It was opened at Changi Air Base on
September 1, 1988 and expanded two
years later.
Subsequently, it moved to a new building
in Paya Lebar and, following a major
revamp of the indoor galleries, reopened
on September 1, 2015. Most of the aircraft
types on display are illustrated here, but
the museum also boasts a Cessna 172K
Skyhawk, SIAI-Marchetti SF.260 and Bell
UH-1B Iroquois. Opening times are Tuesday
to Sunday, 8.30am to 5pm (closed on public
holidays), and admission is free.
