T
he battle of Midway was
the turning point for the
Japanese in the Second
World War and it is amazing
to me that this major event
happened just seven months after
the attack on Pearl Harbour.
The main ighter for the US
Navy was the F4F Wildcat and this
sheet supplies marking for seven
airframes that were present at the
battle. And they are all inished in
the standard USN Blue Grey over
Light Grey scheme introduced in
the months before the battle were
all the red parts of the markings
have been removed. Both of the
sheets are supplied with full colour
instruction while the decals are
as usual in perfect register.1/72 SCALE

This is not among the most colourful
sheets that Starfighter have produced
but it does feature some historically
interesting aircraft and at least
one should be in any US Navy
