McDonnell Douglas F-4H Phantom ‘145310’ (N815WF) has been listed for sale via US broker
Platinum Fighters. The 1959-built jet is being restored to fl y by Aircraft Restoration Services at
French Valley Airport, California, and is described as 80 to 85% complete. The asking price is

Authentic livery for
Colorado Skyhawk
The Pueblo Weisbrod Air Museum in Colorado is to repaint Douglas A-4D Skyhawk 147702 in
the colours it wore while fl ying with US Navy unit VA-12 from the USS ‘Shangri-La’ in 1970.
The jet is currently displayed in a US Marine Corps VMA-214 scheme. TONY SACKETOS
The Aviation Heritage Museum in Bull
Creek, Western Australia is restoring a
former USAF General Dynamics F-111F
procedure trainer and a World War
Two-era Link Trainer.
The F-111 unit was bought in the US
by museum volunteer Geoff Brueder
who had it shipped to the museum
in 2012. It is being converted into a
fl ight simulator, and will feature alarge video screen at the front of the
‘cockpit’. Its exterior will be fi nished
in Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF)
markings.
The Link Trainer is undergoing a
gradual overhaul and will eventually
be fi tted out to resemble a unit used to
teach RAAF pilots during the war.
