SCIENCE MUSEUM

The ‘Flight’ and ‘Making the Modern World’

galleries at the internationally-famous Science

Museum are where most of the aircraft are to

be found. Of special note, of course, are Alcock

and Brown’s Vimy and the Gloster E28/39. The

Gugnunc, previously stored at Wroughton, is

another interesting exhibit.

a new exhibition, ‘Plywood: Material of the

Modern World’, during the summer of 2017

• and included in it is a Mosquito fuselage
  section (on loan from the de Havilland Aircraft
  Museum) that had long been out of public view.
