Dave’s Chevelle gasser is
100-per-cent muscle —
rough as guts and tough
as nails, and powered by
an angry 468ci big block
with Muncie manual box.
The Chevelle was owned
by Eddie Trybula back in
the day, but Dave’s made it
his own. “I‘ve put the MSD,
Victor Jr manifold, Demon
carb, and drag shocks in it,”
he says. As for Dave’s future
plans for the thing, “I just
thrash the f*ck out of it!”
he maintains. “All I want to
do is change gear as fast as
possible!”

tasteful selection of vehicles to display, with
the emphasis being on doing so for a good
cause. This year’s show managed to be even
more impressive than the last, and, thanks to
support from Classic Cover Insurance, Harcourts,

Waikato Security Services, and Killerwaxx, and the
voluntary work put in by Carnales club members,
all proceeds from the gold-coin donation entry per
car were donated to the Dream Chaser Foundation
— an organization supporting children suffering
from cancer and their families.
Despite the distinctly American flavour of the
event, the show isn’t aimed only at traditional
hot rods, kustoms, muscle cars, bikes, low-riders,
or bombs, but is open to pre-’87 European and
Japanese classics as well. The end result is a
