T
he Swans are next in action at
the Liberty Stadium when
they face Premier League
leaders Manchester City in
four days’ time.
They will be aiming to end a run of
11 matches without victory against
the Citizens, who have come out on
top in nine of those.
The most recent showdown in south
Wales came in September 2016,when the visitors enjoyed a
commanding 3-1 victory.
Pep Guardiola oversaw a third-place
finish in the Premier League during
his first season in charge at the
Etihad.
But he is undoubtedly aiming higher
in the top flight this term, with City
top of the table and also going
strong in the Champions League and
Carabao Cup.MANCHESTER CITY, LIBERTY STADIUM

he Swans produced an
encouraging performance but
slipped to a second defeat to
Manchester City within three days.
Pep Guardiola's star-studded side
maintained their perfect start to the
Premier League campaign on a day
when Francesco Guidolin felt his
team deserved more.
Sergio Aguero put the visitors ahead
within nine minutes, but the Swans
were soon back on level terms after
Fernando Llorente scored his first
goal for the club with a thumping
half-volley.
The Swans went close to taking the
lead as Gylfi Sigurdsson volleyed
over from Wayne Routledge's cross,
but it was City who made it 2-1
thanks to Aguero’s penalty.
As the Swans pushed for an
equaliser, Raheem Sterling made it
3-1 after he finished off a superb
counter-attack.
“We played a very good game and,
for one hour, we were at the same
level as Manchester City and they
are the best team in the UK,”
Guidolin said.SWANS: Fabianski, Rangel, Amat,
