I’ve considered Charles my “brother”

friends who are there for me. And
his only agenda is that he cares
about me...
I’m not interested in relationships
that give me things, I’m interested in
ones that change the way I view the
world and Charles does that.
He’s one of the nicest men I’ve
ever met. He’s genuine, hardworking
and an amazing businessman as well.
He’s in the wine industry, I’m in food,
and we both want our work to be fun.
Charles won’t pull any punches.
He’ll be the first to disagree if he
thinks I’m on the wrong track and
Charles says:
I met Silvia through my girlfriend
Jess. We would frequent Silvia’s
cafe and the friendship has grown
from there.
Rarely have I met someone with
a vision and passion to succeed like
Silvia has. She’s an amazing person.
Running a business can be pretty
lonely, so it’s great to have Silvia
there to understand where I’m
coming from with difficulties I face
each day. We can bounce off each
other and enjoy a good glass of wine
at the same time. It helps we have
the same sense of humour, too.
She has a beautiful strength of
character and seems to take things
on the chin and bounce back.
Silvia’s kids are her greatest asset.
She’s doing an amazing job bringing
them up as a single mother and
running a hugely successful business
at the same time. Plus she’s had two
major surgeries in six months. I don’t
know how she does it!
when I have hesitation about going
ahead with something I trust Charles
so much that he gets me over the line
with that. I feel I can achieve things
because I know I’m not alone.
My kids call him “Chuckles”.
They acknowledge he’s a rock for our
family. When my daughter wanted
to buy a car, she called him for advice.
He’s always there for us in so many
ways. We have family dinners every
Thursday night.
There are no expectations with
Charles and his girlfriend Jess, who
happens to be my best friend.
I’ve rocked up to their place in
pyjamas and said, “PutSex and the
Cityon and pour the wine!” I can be
100 per cent myself with them.
