STRANGERS

Do the dance of joy! From
March 26, 1986, to Aug. 6, 1993,
cousins from different countries
shared a world of laughs

Mark Linn-Baker
While cousin Larry was
uptight, Mark, 65, has been
down with trying different
things. He directed episodes
of Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper,
starred in Broadway revivals
of A Funny Thing Happened
on the Way to the Forum and
You Can’t Take It With You
and has taken on serious
TV parts — from Law &
Order: Criminal Intent to The
Leftovers and Blue Bloods.

Bronson Pinchot
Don’t be ree-diculous! After
playing cousin Balki for
eight seasons, Bronson, 60,
didn’t have trouble finding a
number of roles. He hit the
stage in Broadway’s Putting
It Together, did movies such
as The First Wives Club, had
his own home restoration
series and appeared on over
40 series including Chilling
Adventures of Sabrina.

Rebeca Arthur
As Mary Anne, she was
Jennifer’s roommate and
Balki’s bride. But afterward,
Rebeca, 59, liked playing a
mom best. She had a few
more parts (including in the
movie Get Shorty) before
stepping “into the role
of loving slave to my two
daughters,” as she once told
Closer. And, she added that
she and Melanie “continue
to be best friends.”

Melanie Wilson
Though flight attendant
Jennifer was Larry’s
girlfriend, Melanie, 57, took
off to be the wife of the
show’s co-producer William
Bickley. She also co-wrote
the screenplay to Danny
Glover’s 2002 directorial
debut Just a Dream and, in
2007, sadly mourned the
loss of her father, Dick —
who for decades played
Charmin’s Mr. Whipple.
