Experience what it’s like driving the
fastest car in the world at Coventry
Transport Museum, where you will
encounter this feat in its 4D simulator.
The museum, located in the city centre,
houses the largest publicly owned
collection of British vehicles in the
world and tells the story of Coventry
through the rise and fall of its biggest
industry. The collection also holds
the record-breaking Thrust2 and
ThrustSSC, the oldest Coventry-built
car; and many of the most innovative
and memorable vehicles of the last 150
years. Groups of ten or more can book
onto a guided tour.
What’s new?
The Wave is a new waterpark and leisure centre in the heart of the city, which will open later this
year and marks the City of Sport accolade. It will house water slides, a spa, a 25-metre swimming
pool, a 120-station fitness suite, squash courts and a dance studio.
The latest Go Ape course, the first in Coventry, has recently opened in the glorious woodland of
Coombe Abbey. The Tree Top challenge features the Plummit, a 12-metre vertical drop offering
brave participators a thrilling test and non-stop adrenaline.
