SINGAPORE
CHECKIN:
SIX SENSES DUXTON
The luxury hotel brand is known for
its incredible, sprawling properties
in far-flung resort destinations,
but one of its latest offerings,
in Singapore’s central Tanjong
Pagar district, is a bona fide city
slicker. Set in old colonial trading
houses, the styling of the hotel’s
49 rooms is a nod to the region’s
former opium dens.
There’s street food favourite
aplenty at nearby Chinatown and
a Chinese doctor and medicinal
herb dispensary on site, so you
don’t have to go far to get a taste
of the local way of life.

HONG KONG
CHECKIN:TUVE
A short walk from the bustle of
Causeway Bay, Tuve sits hidden
away in Victoria Park, a quiet spot
favoured by in-the-know locals.
The design-heavy hotel is starkly
minimalist with a focus on materials,
like concrete, copper and wood,
but while the interiors may feel
austere, the service is regarded for
being anything but.
There is a restaurant, but no bar,
pool or gym, so if feeling as though
you’re staying in a discreet,
serviced apartment is your vibe,
Tuve is the spot for you. Though with
Le Labo toiletries in the bathrooms,
it’s not without the biggest perk of
a hotel stay – swiping the minis.
