Why you need to hide your left thumb © BAUER CONSUMER MEDIA LIMITED
The left thumb is the cornerstone of your technique. The tip should
extend no further than the fi rst joint on the index fi nger. If it protrudes, it
messes up your wrist hinge and can damage your posture.

How to get into the correct driver set-up
While you stand further from the ball with the driver, the butt is higher so
you only need to lean slightly forward from your hips to take your grip.
The ball is opposite your instep and the shaft vertical.

PERFECT

POSTURE
Tiger’s posture is exemplary now. In the past, his
set-up has often lacked defi nition and he has stood too
upright at address. Here he is leaning forwards a little
more from his hips and, as a result, his upper body is
more inclined. The angle from the top of his head to
his tailbone is neutral, he has the perfect amount of
knee fl ex and his weight is centred on his feet.
