Vine With C4 work 62 ch.
Row 1: Miss 2 ch, 1 dc into each ch.
End off leaving a 20 cm length of
yarn.
Sew in short end with wool sewing
needle.
Leave long end for stitching onto
clutch.
FLOWERS – MAKE 5
With C2 work 5 ch, join with a sl st to
form a circle.
Round 1: 5 ch, 1 dc into circle
repeat from to 4 times (5 loops in
total), sl st into beg ch. End off leaving
a 20 cm length of yarn.
Change to C3 Join new colour into
back of dc of previous round.
Round 2: 7 ch, 1 sl st into back of
dc of previous round, 7 ch, sl st into
beg ch.
Round 3: sl st into ch loop, 2 ch, 1 tr,
1 dtr, 1 tr, 1 dc into loop, 1 dc, 1 tr,
1 dtr, 1 tr, 1 dc into next ch loop, sl
st into beg ch. End off. Sew in all ends
except for 20 cm end.
BERRIES - MAKE 3
Round 1: With C5 and leaving a 20
cm length of yarn work 3 ch, 6 tr into
1stch, sl st to join.
Round 2: 2 ch, 1 dc into each tr of
previous round, sl st to join.
End off. Sew in other end except for
20 cm end with a wool sewing needle.
MAKING UP
The following instructions refer to the
body of crocheting missus the 2 rows
of dc.
Cut lining 2cm larger, cut cardboard
5mm smaller than body of crocheting.
Machine lining and crocheting with
right sides facing leaving the short
side with dc open. Turn through.
Place cardboard between lining and
crocheting. Hand stitch opening
closed stitching lining to the last
row of tr (not to the last row of dc).
Turn up bottom half 13cm, pin well
and machine each side (to form the
clutch and leaving the flap free). Stitch
magnetic clasp into place.
DECORATIONS
Twist vine tightly and fold in half
allowing the crocheting to twist
together. Pin vine in place starting
from just under the flap and trail vine
to bottom. Stitch in place with the long
end of yarn.
Stitch the flowers and berries using
the long end of yarn and in the
following way: 1st flower just below
top of vine, 2nd flower on right hand
side of 1st flower, 3rd flower opposite
1st flower on other side of vine, 4th
flower next to 3rd flower, berries in a
bunch on both sides of vine and 5th
flower snuggled next to top berry at
end of vine.
Refer to photo for further placement
assistance. Ensure all ends and
decorations are securely stitched.
