Intense Cycles is best known for its
gravity-oriented bicycles, but it also
produces a fantastic line of shorter-
travel trail and all-mountain bikes that
share the brand’s superior design
and construction. The Recluse is a
relatively new model to the line and
it features medium travel (150 mm
front/140 mm rear) with a relatively
slack 66-degree head angle for sta-
bility at speed and confidence while
descending, coupled with 75-degree
seat tube angle for great climbing
performance. While the standard Re-
cluse bikes come equipped with FoxFactory suspension components front
and rear, Intense partnered with high-
end aftermarket suspension company
DVO to produce a limited-edition run
of 100 DVO Edition Recluse bikes.
In addition to being outfitted with
the Santa Clarita, California-based
company’s popular Diamond fork
and revolutionary Topaz T3 shock,
the DVO Edition Recluse is also fin-
ished with a beautiful paint job of
varying green hues to match DVO’s
company color scheme. Each bike is
numbered and comes with a certifi-
cate of authenticity.
