Sweet smoothies for spring


Almond Punch


TASTE: Spiced apple pie



  • 1 apple

  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder

  • ½ tsp nutmeg

  • 1 tsp almond butter

  • 200ml (scant 1 cup) unsweetened
    almond milk


Herby Mango


TASTE: Sweet and herby



  • ½ banana

  • 50g (1¾ oz) fresh or frozen mango

  • handful of fresh coriander

  • 200ml (scant 1 cup) unsweetened
    almond milk


Blue Acai


TASTE: Blueberry and banana



  • 100g (3½ oz) fresh or frozen blueberries

  • ½ banana

  • ½ red pepper

  • 1 tsp lucuma powder

  • 2 acai capsules

  • 200ml (scant 1 cup) unsweetened
    almond milk


These sweet blends are full of good vitamins
and minerals which are great for giving a healthy
boost to your system. Any of the fruit can be
either fresh or frozen, don’t forget that you
can freeze any left over cut up fruits for use in
another smoothie.

METHOD
Place all recipe ingredients into a blender and
blend until smooth.

SERVING
Each recipe makes a single serving.

Apples & Lime


TASTE: Thin, apple with hint of lime



  • 1 apple

  • 2 stalks of celery

  • ½ juice of a lime

  • large handful of spinach

  • 200ml (scant 1 cup) cold water


Minty Cucumber


TASTE: Subtle sweet minty taste with hint
of apple


  • ½ cucumber

  • 1 apple

  • handful of fresh mint

  • 200ml (scant 1 cup) unsweetened almond
    milk


Ginger Grapefruit


TASTE: Sharp grapefruit and ginger



  • 1 grapefruit

  • ½ inch of fresh ginger root

  • large handful of ice cubes

  • 200ml (scant 1 cup) fresh carrot juice
