SOARING SENSATION
The couple first set foot in
the QVB Tearoom when on
venue reconnaissance. ‘We
were smitten by the soaring
ceilings and the timeless
design of the Victorian
architecture,’ says
Michelle. They based all
their other decisions
around ‘the grace and
opulence of the venue’.
Their table centres, for
example, were tall vintage
silver candelabras
decorated with white
roses and Singapore
orchids, ‘which drew the eye up towards the
grandeur of the ornate ceilings,’ says Michelle.
SOCK IT TO ME The bride says she loved that her scarlet suede peep-toe
stilettos from Mimco matched the colour of David’s socks — ‘it was our
subtle pop of colour’, she smiles. ‘My husband and I were so happy with
how everything turned out. It was the perfect first day for the start of a
blissful life together.’
A palette of ivory, white
and champagne looks
even more elegant
when highlighted with
black touches such as
a grand piano, and a
vintage car.
