Anne Coughlan & James Baulch

At a rooftop party in New York City, on New Years Eve, the air was crisp, the atmosphere full of

anticipation and excitement. James, 28, had been intending to propose on another day, in Central Park, but he

got so caught up in the moment, and the happy vibe, that he just had to ask Anne, 25, to marry him.

GRAND ENTRANCE ‘As soon as
we drove up the driveway of Terrara
House Estate,’ says Anne, ‘we knew
we had found somewhere special.
We liked the idea of a wedding
down the coast for our guests. We
knew we wanted to get married
outside in a garden setting, and we
chose our venue because of its
beautiful location and styling.’ The
couple decided on the grand
marquee as the reception
space for their guest list
of 70 family and friends,
and began to plan
their dream wedding.

PERSONAL BEST
Anne says she’d tried
on so many beautiful
dresses, but the
‘Demetrios’ gown from
Brides By Francesca was the first
that felt ‘one-hundred per cent
right’. ‘When I put it on I felt
comfortable in it, not like I was
dressing up as someone else,
which I felt in other dresses,’ she
says. Her mother Marie cried when
she saw Anne in this vintage-
inspired ivory gown featuring lace,
tulle, pearls and sequins. ‘That was
it for me,’ says Anne, ‘as her
opinion means so much.’

After the ceremony
formalities are over
swap a veil for a
beautiful headpiece
— perfect for partying
the night away.
