chocolate mud wedding cake — the ombre coloured ruffle icing
drew inspiration from the detail on the bride’s gown. Guests were
given a piece of the cake to take home with them as they left and
the couple also created a five minute photo montage to share with
their guests. ‘The montage featured memorable moments we’ve
shared with our friends and family over the years. It started from the
moment we were both held at birth, as a tribute to our mothers, and
it went through to our teenage and adult years,’ explains Mandy.
FUN TIMES After the ceremony, the couple and their bridal party
headed to the beach for photographs complete with props — red
and gold helium balloons and large letters that spelt the word
“LOVE.” ‘Our bridal party were told to improvise, star jump and
sprint toward the camera because we wanted the shoot to be
energetic and colourful and, more importantly, for everyone to have fun. After
all, that’s what a wedding is all about — relaxing and laughing until your insides
hurt,’ says the bride.
