An exquisite specimen of the
duck-billed hadrosaur Saurolophus is
currently on display at a shopping mall
in Ulaanbaatar, while the natural history
museum gets an overhaul. Spectacular
fossils are the norm, rather than the
exception in the Gobi, and the country
has yielded more than 10 per cent of all
the world’s known dinosaur species.
