All you do is ...

1

Trace the LOVE template from the
Pattern Sheet onto paper and cut
it out. Cut pieces of linen and cotton
fabric larger than the template.

2

Draw four rectangles,^55 ⁄ 8 x^3 ⁄ 4 in, on
fusible web, cut them out roughly
and fuse them to the wrong side of
assorted print fabrics. Cut out the
rectangles on the lines and fuse them
to the middle of the linen with an iron.

3

Write L, V and E on three of them
with an erasable pen and cut a heart
from red fabric instead of a letter O.

4

With quilt batting on the wrong side
of the linen, backstitch around the
rectangles, letters and heart with four
strands of dark brown embroidery thread
or stitch it with your sewing machine.
(Minki used Aurifi l 12wt. thread.)

5

Trace the tag template shape on to the
wrong side of the cotton print fabric.

6

Layer both fabric pieces, right sides
together, and pin. Stitch around them
on the drawn line, leaving an opening
along one side.

7

Trim^1 ⁄ 4 in outside the stitching
and clip the corners. Turn the tag
right side out and push out the edges
and corners gently using a chopstick
or turning tool.

8

Turn in the seam allowance on
the opening and press, then hand
stitch the opening closed.

9

Attach an eyelet to the middle of
the tag at the top.

10

Decorate the tag with string
or ribbon and cute buttons.
