“It’s her safe place and she’s so
much happier now than she was
six months ago,” explains a family
friend. “Her mum is her biggest
support, and she has just been
spending time at the beach and
at home with Scout.”Whole family happier
James has also transformed since
taking on his role in Home and
Away, looking leaner and fi tter on
the set of the long-running drama
series after spending much of thepast two years as a stay-at-home
dad on the Gold Coast.
“Th ey have a full-time nanny
who looks after Scout when they
are fi lming. But both of them
spend all their spare time with
Scout, and sometimes now they
spend time together with Scout,
which is lovely for her.
“Th ey had a lot of issues but
both have always tried to shield
Scout from any of the drama.
“But even little kids are aware
when their parents are fi ghting,
and Scout’s starting to come out
of her shell again now her mum
and dad are happier.”Like her mum, little
Scout has been finding
solace in spending time
with family, especially
her cousin Grace, who is
close in age and looks so
similar they could be sisters.
