dough hook, as the
mixture is too soft to
knead by hand.
This is a traditional
cake from north−
eastern France; there
are similar elsewhere
in Europe.
Kouglof is traditionally
baked in a circular pan
with a central pottery
tube, but you can use a
metal pan, available at
cooking stores.
