stripping
You can keep your clothes on for this one. The
best way to fake a summer glow is to buff
bronzer across your cheeks and the bridge of
your nose, like a sun strip (get it?).

TRY IT
Swirl a large brush in bronzing powder. Get rid
of any excess product by gently tapping the
handle end of the brush. Starting at the apple of
your left cheek, sweep the brush across the
cheek, over the bridge of your nose, then across
the apple of the right cheek. Repeat three
times to build up colour.

cut creasing
This Instagram favourite involves “cutting” the
eye socket with a very fine line of eye pencil and
shadow to create a sharp crease, which will lift
your eyes. It works.

TRY IT
Apply a light eye shadow over your lid. Draw
a line onto your crease with a soft eye pencil.
Blend a darker shade over the pencil line and
finish with mascara.

strobing
Still the prettiest way to create a subtle sheen,
this is a fancy term for highlighting. Forget
what you know about classic contouring (in
other words, creating shadow) and focus on
enhancing your contours by brightening them
instead. Use a highlighter that complements
your skin tone: a neutral champagne shade for
fair skin, subtle pink for medium, gold for olive
and terracotta for dark complexions.

TRY IT
Dab the highlighter on the areas where the light
naturally hits your face (cheekbones, temples,
bridge of the nose, below your brow bone,
corners of your eyes and above your Cupid’s
bow). Buff it into your skin with a small brush
to make it look more natural.

tech neck
We spend a lot of our day looking down at
our phones, causing strain and pain in the
neck, dubbed the “tech neck”. The habit could
also be contributing to lines and creases in the
skin but, by massaging the neck area daily, you
can help reverse the effects.

PREVENT IT
Apply a cream designed to tighten at the base
of your neck and massage it in a circular,
upwards motion towards your jawline. You
should also try holding your phone parallel to
your face, not below. And don’t forget a firming
face serum if your phone has you squinting,
frowning or raising your brow all day. ] Ultimune Power
