is clearly an integral part of
designer Emma McClean’s
style aesthetic. “When people walk through
our gate, they often comment that they feel
like they’ve stepped into a hidden tropical
oasis. Whatever we plant seems to grow
like crazy and the children shower outside
most of the year,” says the founder of cult
kidswear brand Children Of The Tribe.
The weatherboard home, which McClean
shares with her partner Steve and daughters
Willow, five, and Coco, two, has undergone
an impressive renovation focusing on an
open-plan design that maximises indoor/
