DANIEL RADCLIFFE
Films

Radcliffe’s latest film role could hardly be more different from
Harry Potter. The actor, 27, played a rookie FBI officer infiltrating
a white supremacist group in last year’s Imperium. Yesterday he
finished a run in the London stage production of Ros encrantz &
Guildenstern Are Dead. Radcliffe, born in London, spends much
of his time in New York with his girlfriend, US actress Erin Darke,
and has bought a £4m house in the West Village. Net assets in
Gilmore Jacobs, set up by his parents to manage his finances,
rose by more than £4m to £63.9m in 2015-16. 2016: £74m, 8

ROBERT PATTINSON
Films

The London-born actor is thought to have spent £65,000 on an
engagement ring two years ago for FKA Twigs, the quirky pop
artist from Cheltenham. Pattinson, 31 on Saturday, split from his
Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart in 2013 after four years. He had a
part in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005 before finding
fame as vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight films. Pattinson’s
three movie releases this year include a biopic of the British
explorer Percy Fawcett. He also models for Dior. 2016: £65m, 10

GARETH BALE
Football Real Madrid

A new contract signed with Real Madrid last October is worth
£350,000 a week (£18.2m a year) after tax, making Bale, 27, one
of the highest paid sports stars in the world. Now in his fourth
season in Spain, the Cardiff-born winger’s contract keeps him at
the club until 2022. Bale, the star turn in a Wales side that
reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016 in France , also earns £9m a
year from deals with Adidas, Sony and others. 2016: £34m, 17

ED SHEERAN
Music

The flame-haired singer interrupted his sabbatical last year to
perform with guitarist Eric Clapton (qv) at one of his Japanese
gigs. A new album, Divide, came out in March: at one point, nine of
its songs were in the UK top 10 and he is listed in Time magazine’s
100 Most Influential People of 2017. A lawsuit accusing Sheeran
of copying a tune by the X Factor winner Matt Cardle was settled
out of court last month. Sheeran, 26, who was born in Halifax,
owns a Suffolk farm and a £9m London home. 2016: £45m, 14=

JACK CATOR
Software

The teenage Cator, now 28, wanted to play computer games in
the classroom but his school’s IT network blocked him, so he
wrote a program in order to dodge its security filters. It was the
start of his virtual private network service Hide My Ass. AVG, a
global software company, bought the business for £40m in 2015.
Accounts for Norfolk-born Cator’s company for 2014-15 showed
profits of £2.6m on sales of £13.7m. 2016: £45m, 14=

Golf ’s biggest earner married Erica Stoll, who worked for
the sport’s governing body, in a lavish ceremony at
Ashford Castle in Co Galway last month. Guests included
One Direction singer Niall Horan (qv) and Coldplay’s
Chris Martin, with Stevie Wonder fl ying in from the US to
sing at the couple’s ceremony and Ed Sheeran (qv)
performing at the reception. McIlroy, 28 last Thursday,

tie-up with Nike in a new £80m deal over 10 years. He also
has endorsement contracts with Omega and Bose. His
Rory Foundation showed £782,000 of donations in 2015,
with Mencap Northern Ireland receiving £500,000
