Shape Neck and Shoulders
Row 1: Cast off 9 (10, 11, 12, 13),
patt 34 (37, 41, 45, 49) incl st rem
on right, hand needle after casting off,
turn.
Cont on these 34 (37, 41, 45, 49)
sts for left side of front neck.
Row 2: Cast off 2 (3, 3, 4, 5) sts,
patt to end.
Row 3: Cast off 9 (10, 11, 12, 13)
sts, patt to last 2 sts, patt 2tog.
Row 4: Patt 2tog, patt to end.
Rep last 2 rows once.
Cast off rem 10 (10, 12, 13, 14) sts.
Slip next 34 sts onto stitch, holder and
leave for neckband.
With RS facing, join yarn to rem 43
(47, 52, 57, 62) sts for right side of
front neck and patt to end.
Row 1: Cast off 9 (10, 11, 12, 13)
sts, patt to last 2 sts, patt 2tog.
Row 2: Cast off 2 (3, 3, 4, 5) sts,
patt to end.

BACK
Using 4.00mm needles, cast on 94
(102, 112, 122, 132) sts.
Work 5 rows garter st (every row knit,
first row is wrong side).
Change to 5mm needles.

Beg Side Split Patt
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: K4, purl to last 4 sts, K4.
Rep 1st and 2nd rows once.
Work 4 rows garter st.
Last 8 rows form side split patt for
Back.
Work a further 34 rows patt.

CABLE SWEATER SADDLE SHOULDER

= Purl st on right side, knit st on wrong side.

= Knit st on right side, purl st on wrong side.

= C9F - Slip next 3 sts onto cable needle and leave at front
of work, (K3, P3), then K3 from cable needle.

= C9B - Slip next 6 sts onto cable needle and leave at back
of work, K3, then (P3, K3) from cable needle.

KEY - Shaded area represents stitch repeat.

Note 1 - When working from Graph, read odd-numbered rows (right side rows)
from right to leftand even-numbered rows (wrong side rows) from left to right.
Note 2 - If insufficient sts to complete cable crosses at side edges of knitting,
work sts in purl fabric or stocking st.
