ith the AORC
losing many of
its stars this
year, there’s a
group of
up-and-coming
young racers
set to make their mark. One of them is
19-year-old Lyndon Snodgrass, who has
found himself in the box seat at the
KTM Enduro Racing Team in place of
his mate Daniel Sanders. It’s a big step
from privateer last year to riding for the
highest-profile team in the country. But
the young buck known as “Lyndo” isn’t
all that fussed about the bells and
whistles, he just wants to race.
You’ve come a long way in a short space of time
but, without a title to your name, some readers
may not know you. When did racing really take
off for you?
My first year of Senior racing was in
2015 on a KX250F through Hands-On
Kawasaki [in Lilydale, Vic]. I raced the
Under-19 class in the AORC and I had
some good results, with top-15s
outright, and I was pretty happy with
how I was going. I finished the
championship second in class and it
was definitely a good learning year.
Last year I moved to a Husqvarna
TE300. I started the year a bit slow and
was struggling but once I got my
