Stanfield Nursing Home. Mathematician,

Chartered engineer, fuel pipeline specialist,

DREY Charles Nicholas Crawford on 17th
May 2022, aged 87, died peacefully at
home. Known to all as “Tim”, professor of
chemistry at Robert Gordon’s Institute of
Technology (now University), then vice-
principal at King Alfred’s College (now
Winchester University). Leaves wife
Lindsey and sons Nicholas and Simon.

peacefully on May 29th 2022. Patricia,
beloved wife of Charles, and dear mother
of Rachel, Michelle, Isobel, Conor and Philip.

Navan Road, Dublin, followed by burial in

GROSSMAN Edward died peacefully at
home on 30th May 2022, with his wife
Penelope, at his side. A very highly
regarded tax consultant, working in the
music business, described by many as a
mentor and father-figure. Ed had a huge
personality in a small body, was a keen
supporter of Arsenal, fan of Lewis
Hamilton, and loved live music. Penelope,
daughter Beth, daughter-in-law Kate,
grandson Sam, brother Barry, wider family
and all his many friends deeply miss him,
his sound advice and zany sense of
humour. Funeral at Golders Green

HUTSON John Whiteford OBE. died
peacefully on 1st June 2022, aged 94, at
Katharine House Hospice in Adderbury,
Oxfordshire. A graduate of Glasgow
University, John served in HM Diplomatic
Service from 1951-87 in Berlin, Saigon, San
Francisco, Sofia, Baghdad, Moscow,
Frankfurt and Casablanca. Cherished
husband of his late wife Doris, beloved
father and father-in-law of Robin, Lorna and
Linda, Nora and Steve, and grandfather to
Seth, Ellie and Tabitha. Our thanks to the
kind staff at Katharine House who cared for
him in his final days. Private cremation,
with a memorial service at St Andrew’s
Church, Walton-on-Thames, mid-July.

May, 2022, aged 82. Much-loved husband
