It looks charming enough to evoke
visions of a laid-back and leafy
Bengaluru, with cane chairs and
hammocks. Dialogues Café was
started by four friends who came
together after quitting their jobs
in different parts of the world in
- “The café was born out of a
personal need,” says co-founder
Ankit Gupta, as they found most
co-working spaces too formal and
cramped. “We took ideas from
cafés and co-working spaces and
combined them.” You are charged
for the time you spend at the café,
while F&B, Wi-Fi and board games
are free. “We believe everyone is
an entrepreneur, so why limit you
to a dedicated seat?” says Gupta.

When Virtuous Retail set out to
“build new age community spaces to
provide social infrastructure at cost-
competitive rates”, they intended it
to be the size of a mall with retail,
F&B and entertainment. And it is no
less. For a fee of `10,000 a month,
you have access to a dedicated desk
at the co-working space running
across three floors, and also to the
sky deck with a swimming pool,
a fitness centre and a rooftop bar.
Then there are serviced apartments
on each floor—for which members
get discounted rates—besides
restaurants and a cinema theatre.
