Corsair Carbide 275R case (£73,www.scan.
co.uk)with an EVGA GTX 1660XC Black
graphics card (£220,www.scan.co.uk).
The Carbide case comes with two 120mm
fans, placed in the standard configuration:
alow front intake andahigh rear exhaust.
We experimented with disconnecting and

moving thesefans, and also addingathird
120mmfanint he case’s roofvent.
We’ve highlighted someof the findings in
the box on page 128. Most alarming were the
temperatures when nofans were powered.
Despitethe Corsair case having many open
vents, the heat just built up,with the
processor hitting 93oC, the graphics card
