Keeping Up With the Kardashians
is what made her famous, but it’s
her smarts, loving nature, laugh
outloud humour and fierce self
belief that’s seen her become one
of the most indemand pop icons
of our time – not to mention a
kickass role model. Simply put,
there’s something about Khloé
that we’re obsessed with.
Far from being just a reality
star, Khloé’s grown from a shy
teenager into a selfmade multi
millionaire, who backs herself in
everything she does and doesn’t
give in to peer pressure. ‘I’m not

someone who is easily influenced
by the public,’ she says. ‘I’m strong
and fearless and not afraid to take
risks in business’ – and, might we
add, always looks hot AF doing
so. Yet despite the gravitas of her
celebrity status, she’s always been
surprisingly down to earth.

GOOD JEANS
If you strip away the entourage
that follows her gravitydefying
derrière and look beyond her
famous surname, perfect face of
makeup and enviable hair, we can
all, in some way, relate to Khloé.

She’s all of us – she gets you. Take,
for example, her new allinclusive
denim and bodysuit range Good
American, designed for women
of all shapes and sizes. ‘It really
stemmed from my past and the
experiences I had when I would
go shopping with my sisters,’ she
says. ‘I had a hard time finding
my sizes, which was embarrassing;
I didn’t want to feel different.
And even now that I’m in shape,
I still have to tailor most of my
clothes to fit my curves. I knew
that if I was having these issues,
other women were too.’ And Khloé
knows good jeans. ‘You know you
are wearing a great pair when
you can look at yourself in the
mirror and feel proud of your
body. There’s something so sexy
and empowering about that.’ Good
news: they ship to Australia!
Khloé’s not always been a
role model for body confidence.
She once called herself the ‘fat,
funny one’ and had long battled
her own demons. It was during
her divorce with Lamar Odom
that she found respite in the gym.
‘When I first started working
out it was more of an escape for
me, and when I realized I was
actually losing weight I took my
health and diet more seriously,’
she says. ‘It’s more important to
focus on a healthy, realistic life
style you can maintain rather
than a crazy diet you can’t keep
up with. This isn’t a sprint, it’s a
marathon.’ Khloé has been praised
for her fitness journey (which is
documented in her bestselling
book Strong Looks Better Naked),
when she overhauled her life

et’s be honest, we all want a cocktail (or

five) with Khloé Kardashian. We’ d have a

no-holds-barred chat about love, life and

sex and goof around until our tummies hurt

from all the laughs. All while sipping on

some ‘Sudden Hangovers’ (one of Khloé’s

fave drinks), which, of course, she’ d happily

whip up for us: ‘I’m a damn good hostess if

I do say so myself,’ she writes on her website. How do I know

this is how it’ d go down? Because I know Khloé. Well, I feel

like I do, and you probably do too. Her endearing willingness

to share all aspects of her life – good, bad and sometimes ugly

  • with such raw honesty and humour is why we feel like we’re

part of her squad – and why we want to be in it IRL.
