What Tradies Want — August-September 2017

70 WHAT TRADIES WANT.

NEWS & VIEWS

Shell Card is a simple, effective and convenient product that can save
businesses a lot of headaches in paperwork and at the pump. With
a valid ABN, it provides a business with a secure and efficient way
to buy Shell’s high-quality fuels and offers a wide range of benefits.
Nobody signs up for paperwork when they start out as a tradie. The
more time spent on administration, the less time spent making money.
But without staying on top of expenses and receipts, as well as
ensuring quotes and invoices go out, things can come to a grinding
halt very quickly. Managing fuel expenses can be particularly
time-consuming. Fluctuating prices, lost receipts, complicated
calculations...it’s far from straightforward.
To learn how Shell Card can help your business manage fuel usage,
and to take advantage of the four-cents-ongoing-per-litre discount
off fuel purchases*, visit http://www.shell.com.au/offer.

* Offer valid August 1 to September 30 2017. Excludes AdBlue and LPG.

The Iveco Daily light-truck range continues
to grow in popularity with Australian tradies.
The new Daily has been entirely redesigned to
meet all light-commercial transport needs and
allows optimised load capacities and a more
accessible load compartment.
For operators who’ve outgrown their ute
and need additional space and payload, the
Daily is the ideal choice. It offers the strength
and carrying capacity of a light truck with
the sophistication, driver comfort and safety
features of a passenger car.
Models range in payload from a passenger-

car-licenced, 4495kg GVM lightee to a 7200kg
GVM workhorse with a wide selection of
wheelbase options and the availability of dual-
cab models.
Daily cab chassis are available in a choice
of six-speed manual or market-leading eight-
speed, full-automatic transmission, and power
comes courtesy of powerful-yet-fuel-efficient
three-litre diesel engines with market-leading
power and torque of up to 150kW and 470Nm.
On the safety front the Daily features the
superior stopping power of front and rear
disc brakes with Electronic Stability Program

as well as four airbags, making it a tough, yet
safe, workhorse.
When it comes to comfort and driveability
the Iveco Daily drives more like a car than
a truck thanks to its new, lowered seating
position and smaller steering wheel. An
ergonomic dashboard and climate control
system combine to create the feeling of driving
a European car rather than a truck.
The lads will now be arguing over who’s
driving the work truck to the site for the first
time ever.
