organisersand the Invernessand
DMC Ltd that theypull out all the
stopsand have such notableguestsat The
HighlandClassicTwo-DayTrial.
This year’sHondaEdition boasted guest
of honourRob Shepherd (1977British trials
champion) as the latest in aline of guests
who have madetheir markinthe feet-upworld.
Rob wasn’tthe only Hondastar at the
event in June either,asthere were four other
notablesin the Hondatrialsworld –okay
threeof themwere mechanicaland from the
Hondacollectionof French superenthusiast
Jean Caillou–the remainingHondastar was
Nick Jefferies.
Both Nick and Rob were downto ride but a
kneeinjurykept Rob off the 250 Hondabuilt
for him by NigelLandat TLR Transformations.
Luckily,there were anumberof Hondasin
the event and proving his machinesare built
to go, not show,Jean Caillouwasriding one
of the works machineshe’dbroughtalong.
