Our runner up this month is James Hill, who sent through a couple

of shots of his well-appointed SR5 HiLux touring ute. James had a

steel ARB Deluxe bullbar tted up to protect his rig’s front end, and

matched it with a set of Raslar rock sliders, a 12,000lb winch and a set

of HID spotlights. The big ‘Lux copped an Old Man Emu two-inch

suspension lift and is riding on a set of 33” Cooper STT muddies.

A dual battery setup was hardwired in place in order to keep all the

gadgets whirring along and a 2m awning was afxed for effortless

protection from the elements. James has tted two LED lightbars up

front as well as a set of rear facing LEDs, all of which can be controlled

from a central console as well as by remote. This one pretty much sets

the benchmark for an ultra functional ute.
