Your new art form!

The Germans call it

scherenschnitte, which

means designs ‘scissor

cut’ from paper

3 ENCHANTED WOOD
Cut trees from cardstock
and stitch three together
for a deco that stands on
its own. Highlight it under
a cloche lit with seed lights
(the battery-operated
kind) and make more
for what will be a much-
admired woodland scene.

4 SEASON’S GREETINGS
Add a personal touch to
your gifts with beautiful
handmade cards. Made
with cardstock, glitter
paper and double-sided
tape, the woodland tree

designs are die cut.
(You could do them
freehand, but the cuts
won’t be as precise.)
Mini wood flourishes
are the finishing touch.

5 SANTA’S LITTLE
HELPERS
What would Christmas
be without elves? With
pinecone bodies and
wood beads for their
heads, this family is easy
to make. Paint on their
smiling faces and dress
them in felt hats, scarves
and coats. Too cute!
