organic, scores of producers have cropped up, aiming
to bridge the gap between organic eating and the
consumer.

One such noteworthy contributor in the field of organic
farming is the Swarnabhoomi farms, adjacent to Marg

Chief Engineer from Nuclear Power Corporation of India
Limited. Established in the year 2016, Swarnabhoomi

and also trains farmers in techniques of organic and
precision farming. Built by a team of dedicated individuals
from diverse professional streams, Swarnabhoomi farms
is a possible avenue for many farmers to make a smooth
transition into organic farming and there is already a
steady, potent growth curve in the horizon.

Mr. R. Kanaka Raj, the Chairman of Swarnabhoomi
farms, is an active social participant and has been
instrumental in developing several domains, ranging
from Education, Health, Agriculture, Energy and
Environment and much more. Along with a team
of decorated professionals from diversely different

all the aspects that go into farming and production
to make sure that the best and the most natural food
reaches your tables. They have collaborated with over
1000 farmers and have their own cultivation lands as
well. Not only do they produce organic vegetables,
they also manage and regulate the harvest, clean
the harvest, store, transport and deliver these freshly

some would say.

“It is the one way for consumers to
know that what they eat is most
definitely produced organically.
Our process is customized and every
customer has the liberty to visit the
farm and look at the product as well.
This way, there is no chance of a mix-
up and buyers can be rest assured
that what they take home with them
or have delivered at their doorstep is
indeed organic,”

says Mr. Vimal Arokiaraj Vincent, Managing Director,
Swarnabhoomi farms.

There are many ventures into organic farming but
what sets Swarnabhoomi apart is their fully automated
and systemized farming techniques. Everything
from lighting, water management, fertilization,
water level monitoring and frequency of fertilizing
and watering is prescheduled and predefined. The
possibility of human error is almost negligible with the
automated release of water and fertilizers at appropriate
frequencies. This system ensures that every crop of
every harvest gets uniform attention and hence all
the vegetables grown here are equally healthy. It is
to be noted here that AOPCL has standardized the
water and fertilizer requirements for over 30 different
types of vegetables commonly used in South India,
including tomatoes, ladyfingers, 8 types of climbers
and hilly vegetables as well.
