WORKING PATTERN
BACK AND FRONT
(MAKE 2 PIECES ALIKE)
Using 3.25mm needles and M, cast on
44 (49, 55, 60, 63, 66) sts.
Knit 5 rows garter st (every row knit,
first row is wrong side).
Change to 4.00mm needles and C.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: Purl.
Last 2 rows form stocking st.
Change to M.
Work 2 rows stocking st.
Last 4 rows form stripe patt.
Cont in stripe patt until work measures
approx 9 (11, 13, 15, 17, 19) cm
from beg, ending with 2 rows C.
Break off C.
Using M for rem, cont in stocking st
until work measures 16 (19, 22, 25,
28, 31) cm from beg, ending with a
purl row.
Change to 3.25mm needles.
Knit 5 rows garter st.

Using a 4.00mm needle, cast off
loosely (on wrong side).

MAKING UP
Do not press. Join shoulder seams
for 2cm at armhole edge, leaving
centre unsewn for boat neck.
Matching stripes, join side seams to
end of stripes. Make 2 stitched chain

buttonloops on each side of back,
leaving 9 (10, 11, 11, 12, 13) cm
free at centre.
Sew buttons onto Front to match
loops. Sew in ends.
