Stst on 4mm needles

WORKING PATTERN
SWEATER WITH CONTRAST EDGING
BACK
Using 3.75 mm needles and C, cast
on 59 (65, 71, 77, 83) sts.
Row 1: WS – Knit.
Break off C and join in M.
Using M only, continue as follows:-
Work in garter st for 4 rows, finishing
on a WS row.
Change to 4.00mm Needles.
Starting with a Knit row, now work in
stocking st throughout as follows:-
**Continue straight until Back
measures 11 (14, 17, 20, 24) cm,
finishing on a WS row.

Shape Armholes
Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows.
53 (59, 65, 71, 77) sts
Dec 1 st at each end of next 4 rows,
finishing on a WS row.
Break yarn and leave remaining 45
(51, 57, 63, 69) sts on a st holder
(for Yoke).
