GETTING STARTED
Stripe Sequence
Rounds 1-3 with colour A knit
Rounds 4-5 with colour B knit
Repeat Rounds 1-5

WORKING PATTERN
HAT
With circular needle and colour A, cast
on 80 (88) sts
Join, taking care not to twist sts and
place marker for beginning of round.
Slip this marker every round.

Begin Stripe sequence
(Work rounds 1-5 of stripe sequence)
13 times.
Work Round 1 once more.

Crown Shaping
Note: Change to double pointed
needles when there are too few sts
to fit comfortably on circular needle.
Next Round: decrease - With colour
A, k2tog; repeat from to end of
round-40(44) sts.
Repeat decrease round once more.
20(22)sts.
Cut yarn, leaving a long tail.

Thread tail through remaining sts

twice. Draw up and secure.

MAKING UP

Sew in ends.
