Phil Kerjean’s wagon is typical of the kind of
show-quality skid car you need to make an impact
in the burnout scene these days. The right mix of
show and go credentials (and third place outright
in the burnout comp) helped Phil take out Overall
Champion (Post ’48) at Autofest

5: The ACM dyno
was going flat-out
all weekend, with
the wild twin-
turbo LS-based
combo in Stuart
Bennett’s Camira
drag car spinning
the rollers to the
tune of 905.9rwhp,
winning the V8
Forced Induction
class and Overall
Power Champion
4: After a bit of a hiatus from skidding, it’s been
great to see Matt Power back in action this year
in his T4TUFF HQ one-tonner. He skidded strongly
across the weekend, but was just edged out for
the Pro class win by SKIDMA
3: We were quite taken by John Huysmans’s Falcon
ute, which he’s put together specifically for Street
Machine Drag Challenge. From the outside it looks
like a clean GT tribute, but under the bonnet is
an 1150hp, twin-turbo 429ci Windsor. It’s gone
9.4@145mph to date, with more to come!
