YOUNG BOWLER EXCELS

At just 16 years old, Ella Crouch
has had a busy year playing
bowls for various clubs. Ella was
selected to play in the Devon
John’s squad as a lead and came
runner up in the under 25's pairs
competition. She then went on to
play in the County Triples and got
through to the section final. Ella
was also chosen to play in the 4 3
2 1 South Devon Bowls League
with Torquay BC, where the team
unfortunately lost to Kings.

Her biggest success to date has
just been at Leamington, where
she was selected to play in the
Devon Amy Rose Squad in which
they beat Somerset in the final, 40
shots to 30.

Ella started to play bowls just 4
years ago in the schools’ league
and has many victories under
her belt. She loves the amount
of skill involved in the game and
is looking forward to playing in
the TLH Leisure Resort Winter
League for the TLH Tigers.
Ella has followed in her Mum’s
footsteps, not only with bowling,
but as employees of TLH Leisure
Resort. Trudie Crouch is the
Resort’s Bowls Sales Executive
and Ella joined the team earlier
this year as a part-time lifeguard.
Bowling is definitely in
the Crouch blood - Ella’s
grandparents, Mum, and Dad all
bowl for Torquay BC and they
all enjoy comparing notes after a
busy weekend on the green!

Ella was selected to play in the Devon
John’s squad as a lead and came runner
up in the under 25's pairs competition.

Ella Crouch, 16, started to play bowls just 4 years ago in
the schools' league.
