4 Downs for Finance kicks off
OCTOBER 28, 2017 Dolphin Digest 21
Wide receiver Jarvis Landry and
BankUnited, a proud corporate
partner of the Miami Dolphins,
kicked off the 4 Downs for Finance
financial literacy essay contest
with a surprise visit to the Planta-
tion High School Colonels.
Landry shared his thoughts on
financial literacy and its impor-
tance after the team received fi-
nancial literacy tips.
“This partnership with BankU-
nited and the Dolphins is one I am
fortunate to be blessed with for the
last three years,” Landry said. “To
step into the community, have the
opportunity to affect change and
inspire kids to save is huge.”
This is the third consecutive
season Landry has participated in
the 4 Downs for Finance program,
which BankUnited is sponsoring
for the seventh consecutive season.
“At BankUnited, we understand
the importance of teaching our
children about financial literacy so
they can become successful, re-
sponsible adults,” said BankUnited
President and CEO Rajinder P.
Singh. “Together with Jarvis and
the Miami Dolphins, we are hop-
ing to inspire young people to take
an interest in learning about fi-
nances early on in their lives, as
they begin to earn paychecks and
have increased financial responsi-
bilities.”
