This tool ofers a huge array
of simple shapes. You’ll fnd
the full list in the Shape dropdown
in the tool options at the top. (Click
the fyout cog and choose All to see
them all.) Choose from elements
like arrows, boxes and fgures.
When you drag a shape, hold Alt
to start it at the center point and
Shift to constrain the proportions.

TOP TIP
Holding Space while making the shape will temporarily allow you to change
the position – a shortcut that also works for many selection tools.
