Creating faux

stamping

Joining two die-cuts

to make card base

1 Use a ruler and pencil to mark dots
where you would like the faux stitching.

1 Ink and stamp your image as normal. 1 Cut out two of the same dies
from card.

2 Place the card on a foam mat and use a
paper piercer to make the holes.

2 Stamp the image again without re-inking,
this will give a slightly lighter version.

2 Score one piece 10mm from one edge
and fold.

3 Y ou can also purchase a ruler with holes
in it – so all you need to do is pierce
straight through it.

4 Use a pen in your desired colour and
draw lines between the holes. You can
leave little gaps between them or fi ll
them all as desired.

3 Stamp the image once more, again
without re-inking it.

3 Add double-sided tape in the scored
section.

4 This technique gives you three different
colour options to work with.

4 Place the second die-cut over the top
lining them up and secure together to
make card.
